The revitalization groundbreaking marked not only the beginning of the capital project but also the official public announcement of the Capital Campaign to raise $3.1 million toward the $23.1 million total project cost (the difference is being financed through a partnership with Citizens Bank and support from the state). WEL was happy to announce during the Revitalization Groundbreaking event that $2.1 million of the total Capital Campaign goal has already been raised through generous leadership gifts from WEL’s board, executive staff, residents and bequests. WEL is now turning to the larger community to join in supporting this important revitalization project by making contributions to reach the $3.1 million Capital Campaign goal. The success of this revitalization project hinges on WEL’s ability to raise the remaining $1 million needed to reach the Capital Campaign goal. (Click here or on the picture above to view slideshow)
